Olivia Newton-John has revealed that she's "living well" following her diagnosis of stage four cancer.
Appearing on The Project with her daughter Chloe Lattanzi by her side, the Grease icon pumped both fists into the air when Lisa Wilkinson broached the subject, asking how her health was going.
"Fantastic!" she said. "I'm doing really well and thank you for all your love and support, I really appreciate it," she said, addressing fans around the country.

"It's stage four cancer?" Lisa asked, to which Olivia gave a firm, optimistic response.

"It was," she replied, adding that her "belief system was part of the healing".

Olivia explained that her last MRI had shown that "things are shrinking, going away or staying the same"."I’m living well with it, I’m going great," she said, before a huge round of applause from The Project audience.

Olivia was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 with the cancer later returning in 2013. Four years later, she revealed her stage four diagnosis.

In 2012, the iconic actor lent her name to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research and Wellness Centre at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne -- which Chloe is hoping to win $50,000 for if she wins Dancing With The Stars.

Olivia Newton-John a révélé qu'elle "vivait bien" après son diagnostic de cancer de stade quatre.
Apparaissant sur The Project avec sa fille Chloe Lattanzi à ses côtés, l' icône Grease a soulevé les deux poings en l'air lorsque Lisa Wilkinson a abordé le sujet, lui demandant comment allait sa santé.

"Fantastique!" dit-elle. "Je vais très bien et je vous remercie pour tout votre amour et votre soutien, je l'apprécie vraiment", a-t-elle déclaré, s'adressant aux fans du australiens.

"C'est un cancer de stade quatre?"  a demandé Lisa , à laquelle Olivia a donné une réponse ferme et optimiste.

"Ça l'était", a-t-elle répondu, ajoutant que son "système de croyances faisait partie de la guérison".

Olivia a expliqué que sa dernière IRM avait montré que "les choses rétrécissent, disparaissent ou restent inchangées".
"Je vis bien avec ça, je vais très bien", a-t-elle déclaré, avant une énorme salve d'applaudissements de la part du public du Projet .

On the day, Olivia cut a casual figure in cargo pants and a grey long sleeve top and was joined by Chloe’s long term partner, James Driskill.

Talking the walk, ONJ full of hope and gratitude at 70

Olivia Newton-John has sold more than 100 million albums and starred in one of the world’s most successful musicals, but in the month she turns 70, her life is all about gratitude and wellness, and supporting fellow cancer sufferers.

Having been diagnosed in 2017 with cancer for the third time – this time at the base of her spine, Newton-John says her own wellness rituals are helping her.

“I’m going good. I do a lot of natural therapies. I take a lot of herbs and supplements and I do a lot of meditation,” the Grease star said. “Wellness is really important. You have to treat the whole being.”

Newton-John first discovered she had breast cancer in 1992. She overcame the disease before discovering in 2013 that she had cancer in her shoulder.

Her journeys with the disease spurred her to help others in need by opening the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in the grounds of Melbourne’s Austin Hospital in 2012.

In each year since, she has led a Wellness Walk and Research Run to raise money for the centre. This year’s event will take place this Sunday, September 16 at the Bundoora campus of Melbourne’s La Trobe University and Newton-John is encouraging as many people as possible to take part.

For the first time, it has become a global event, with walks also taking place in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Belgium and Spain.

On her own, difficult cancer journey, the four-time Grammy award winner has undergone radiation treatments and has relied on medicinal marijuana to ease the pain. Her husband grows plants on their California property and makes her tinctures.

“It has helped me a lot. If I have pain or if I can’t sleep, it’s really, really important.”

She says it’s her dream that Australia, where she spent most of her childhood, can change its laws to make marijuana more readily and easily available for patients who are in pain.

“It’s possible, but it’s very difficult right now. There are a lot of hoops to jump through first. We need to catch up,” she says.

Newton-John, who has just published her memoir Don’t Stop Believin’, says she has another fundraising idea for the centre up her sleeve: the sale of her tight, shiny back pants and black jacket from the famous, final scene of Grease. She still has both garments at home.

As Newton-John turns 70, the movie celebrates its 40th anniversary.

“In a way it feels like a long time ago and in a way it feels like yesterday,” she reveals.

But she says she is grateful for every day.

“I live in the moment and don’t sweat the small stuff,” she says. “I enjoy everything, every sunset and every sunrise.”

AUSSIE megastar and cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John has stepped out with Bindi Irwin to raise funds for the ONJ centre that bears her name in the Wellness Walk and Research Run today.

Newton-John — home especially for the event — appropriately warmed up the crowd for the with a rendention of hit song Physical, before waving off runners with mate Bindi Irwin, who lent her name to the cause.

Newton-John said coming back home for the event was a highlight.

“I always look forward to returning to Melbourne for the Wellness Walk, “ she said, particularly in light of the event’s first ever “Research Run”.

“The Gala, Walk & Run have become much-loved events in the Melbourne calendar and I continue to be overwhelmed by the support and gratitude Melburnian’s show towards the ONJ Centre.,” she said.

Nearly 2000 took part in the 5km walk, 5km run or 10km run.

Olympian Steve Moneghetti led the runners out, before Newton-John led an estimate 1500 walkers through the La Trobe University Bundoora Campus accompanied by husband John, nieces Fiona and Tottie Goldsmith and nephew Brett Goldsmith.

The fundraiser has raised $219,000 so far, well over the $150,000 target, organisers said.

Next Saturday, September 17, Olivia will host the ONJ Gala at Crown Palladium with rocker mate Jimmy Barnes to headline the event.

Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, the same weekend her father died from liver cancer and more than two decades on has become a dedicated supporter of cancer research.

Elle viendra surement parler des avancés concernant le Olivia Newton-John Cancer & wellness Center. Elle reviendra surement sur cette grand aventure humaine que fut la Wellness Walk et nous parlera sans aucun doute de la soirée THE ONJ GALA 2013 qui s'habillera aux couleurs de GREASE le 20 septembre prochain.

Suite des aventures d'Olivia Newton-John au pays d'OZ (australie)...Après avoir célébré le mariage de son neveu Brett, samedi dernier - Brett qui rappelons-le contribuera pour 5 titres sur le prochain album de notre Neutron-Bomb chérie - Olivia continuait de fêter l'ouverture du ONJCWC.

Mais après tout, rien de surprenant, Olivia n'est-elle pas la spécialiste de la transformation, depuis Sandy 1 et Sandy 2 ?

Elle aura en tout cas récolté presque 200 millions de dollars (Aus) depuis 10 ans mais le chemin ne n'arrête pas là et le Centre a encore besoin de quelques millions pour achever totalement les travaux en 2013... gageons que les galas et autres conférences ne vont donc pas s'arrêter là !
