As Sandy, the late Olivia Newton-john was initally “too pure to be pink” – but off-screen, the Aussie star was warmly embraced by her co-stars. When ONJ passed away last August, her Grease girlfriends shared beautiful memories. Didi said Liv “radiated this kind of positivity in spirit”, while Dinah called her “so decent and so humble”. But it was Stockard – who played Olivia’s polar opposite in Grease – who shared the most touching tribute. “Olivia was the essence of summer,” she said. “Her sunniness, warmth and her grace are what always come to mind when I think of her. I will miss her enormously.”
