OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN’s husband, JOHN EASTERLING, can’t tell the difference between his superstar wife’s singing voice and pop princess DELTA GOODREM’s.
Newton-John and Goodrem have recorded two songs, Love Is A Gift and Let Me Be There, for the soundtrack to Channel 7’s teleseries Olivia, which premiered last night.
“Delta has a very different singing style, but our voices really work well together,” Newton-John told Confidential. “When my husband heard the songs, he said: ‘I can’t even tell which is which.’ Delta is a great artist, a great writer and a great actor.” It was Goodrem’s idea to record Love Is A Gift, a song Newton-John co-wrote and recorded in 1998. “It’s a friendship song that says love is love,” Newton-John said. Let Me Be There is an ONJ classic released in 1973.
LA-based Newton-John was in Melbourne last week to promote her Wellness Walk and Research Run.
