Les critiques ne semblent pas dithirembiques sur la performance de Delta Goodrem pour la mini-serie australienne consacrée à ONJ ! Comme le rapporte TV Tonight , le second épisode diffusé dimanche soir a été regardé sur Channel 7 par seulement 488 000 téléspectateurs, en baisse par rapport au chiffre de 735 000 de la semaine dernière.
L'épisode de la semaine dernière a été critiqué par les téléspectateurs le qualifiant de "très mauvais", alors que beaucoup de critiques ont été dirigées à l'encontre de la performance de l'actrice principale Delta Goodrem pour sa représentation de la légende de la musique australienne.
L'épisode de la nuit dernière a également été mal reçu par les téléspectateurs.
Les notes pâlissent en comparaison d'autres biopics projetés sur le réseau 7. La mini-série ur INXS en 2014 a été vue pour la première fois par 1,91 million de téléspectateurs, tandis que le premier épisode du biopic sur Peter Allen a attiré 1,33 million de téléspectateurs et la série sur Molly Meldrum a été regardée par 1,3 million de téléspectateurs. ...
L'aspect positif de la chose au-delà de toutes considérations est que cette série à permis de faire travailler un peu notre imaginaire et nous a replongé avec joie dans le passé d'ONJ et du coup le nôtre .. !
Le buzz a été crée autour d'Olivia Newton-John en Australie ( uniquement ) ... les gens oublient vite !
La série n'a vraiment pas mis à mal son histoire, et n'a surtout pas révélé de détails croustillants inconnus ( Y en a t-il d'ailleurs !? ) ...
Il y a eu des biopics bien pire sur d'autres artistes !

Delta Goodrem spills about playing her mentor Olivia Newton-John

Before she agreed to portray singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, Delta Goodrem sought approval from the ’80s icon herself.
Olivia has served as Delta’s longtime mentor, so it was imperative the Voice Australia coach had Olivia’s approval before signing on for the Three mini-series OliviaNewton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You.
“First and foremost, I’m a loyal friend,” Delta, 33, tells Woman’sDay. “I’m also a loyal artist and respectful of other artists.”
Ultimately, it was a decision she couldn’t have made without Olivia’s backing. “I spoke in depth with her about it for weeks and we decided together,” tells Delta. “She was the one saying, ‘You can do this,’ and I was like, ‘OK.’ I wouldn’t have done it without Olivia really supporting me.”
Olivia, 69, admits she isn’t planning to watch the show, but she did agree to sing with Delta on the soundtrack for the series.
Filming was, Delta admits, an out-of-body experience at times. “Olivia is someone I’ve looked up to as a role model,” she explains. “I wanted to take care of this role and nurture it the way Olivia has cared for me over the years.”
And never one to sit still for long, Delta went straight from filming the mini-series to her regular role as a coach on Aussie reality talent show The Voice.
“It was really intense,” she says. “I’d gone from The Voice to my sold-out arena tour, then straight into filming the Olivia mini-series one week later, then back to filming The Voice after we’d wrapped it up. I definitely have variety in my life!”
Though she shows no signs of letting up, her friend and fellow coach on The Voice, Kelly Rowland, would love the singer to settle down, recently telling the show’s audience she wanted to marry off the “Lost Without You” diva.
Delta, who doesn’t discuss her private life but is thought to be currently single, laughs when we mention Kelly’s antics. “She’s the most beautiful girlfriend – I couldn’t love her more,” says Delta. “Yes, it’s true. She’s trying to marry me off!”
So does she want to get married? “It’s a definite question. But I’m like, ‘You and the rest of Australia.’ One day, one day!”
