Travolta’s planning a follow-up to Grease says original star Didi, 67

JOHN Travolta is working on a follow-up for the original cast of Grease, actress Didi Conn revealed yesterday.

The 67-year-old, who played Frenchy in the 1978 hit, said a previous reunion had almost happened.

She said: “I had a book out called Frenchy’s Grease Scrapbook. I asked everybody, ‘What do you think your character would be doing?’. This was 20 years ago – 20 years later we had the greatest stories.

“We had meetings at Paramount, it looked like it was going to happen.”

Didi said the project was cancelled after Travolta and co-star Olivia Newton John “changed their minds”. But she added: “He is thinking of something now, John. There is some talk about something.”
She said Newton John, who is battling cancer, had backed her on the show.

“Olivia knows I am doing it,” she said. “She is keeping a low profile right now but she is doing all right.”

Didi signed up as Dancing On Ice’s oldest contestant after ITV bosses flew out skating coach Karen Barber to New York earlier this year.
She said: “Karen met me on the ice. Very slowly, I mean like really baby steps, she held on to me the whole time and it got a little easier.
“People are like ‘Whaaaat? You are going to learn how to ice skate at your age?’ But why not? When I am dreaming, I am not thinking I am 67, I am 21 or 22!”
Didi will be skating against 11 others including Westlife singer Brian McFadden, Coronation Street actress Jane Danson and cricketer Ryan Sidebottom.

Dancing On Ice, Sunday, January 6 at 6pm on ITV.

Elle a déclaré: "J’ai sorti un livre intitulé Frenchy’s Grease Scrapbook. J'ai demandé à tout le monde: "Que pensez-vous que votre personnage ferait?" C'était il y a 20 ans - 20 ans plus tard, nous avons eu les meilleures histoires. "Nous avons eu des réunions à la Paramount, j'avais l'impression que cela allait arriver."

Didi a aussi déclaré que le projet avait été annulé après que Travolta et sa co-vedette Olivia Newton John eurent changé d'avis.

Mais elle a ajouté: "John pense à quelque chose maintenant. On parle de quelque chose"

En attendant Didi s’est inscrite comme la plus vielle candidate dans le show TV de Dancing On Ice !

Olivia Newton John, qui lutte contre le cancer, l'a soutenue dans cette aventure. «Olivia sait que je le fais», dit-elle. "Elle garde un profil bas en ce moment mais elle va bien."

Et quand à Travolta, il nous a gratifié dans le passé de quelques grandes fausses joies ... alors info ou intox ?
