Olivia Newton-John fait son "grand" retour dans le sacro saint Billboard américain.
C'est sa collaboration avec Dave Audé et sa fille qui lui permet de faire une entrée à la 39ème position du classement des musiques Dance ! ... on y croit !!
NEW NEWTON-JOHN: Also on Dance Club Songs, Olivia Newton-John returns to the chart for the first time in 23 years, as featured on Dave Aude's "You Have to Believe," new at No. 39.
The song also features Chloe Lattanzi, who is Newton-John's daughter (and makes her first appearance on any Billboard chart). The track is a reinterpretation of Newton-John's classic "Magic," which spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1980.
The new collaboration marks the fifth Dance Club Songs hit for Newton-John, who had last appeared with "I Need Love" (No. 44, 1992). Perhaps surprisingly in retrospect, the original "Magic" never reached the chart, while her fellow early '80s smash "Physical," which topped the Hot 100 for 10 weeks in 1981-82, rose to a modest No. 22 on Dance Club Songs. Her highest-peaking hit at the genre? "The Rumour"; written and produced by Elton John, it hit No. 17 in 1988.
In addition to Aude’s original production, remixes from, among others, Ivan Gomez & Nacho Chapado, Bojan and Chris Sammarco are helping club-goers believe in magic all over again.

A Search For The First Olivia Newton-John Tribute Artist
VIDEO – TRIBUTE ARTIST CONTEST
"You're the One That I Want!" Legends in Concert, Las Vegas' award-winning live tribute show, along with superstar and Flamingo Las Vegas headliner, Olivia Newton-John, have joined forces to launch the global search for the first Olivia Newton-John tribute artist.
Starting on Wednesday, Sept. 16, aspiring singers and ONJ fans are encouraged to submit a video of themselves singing a classic Newton-John song from any era via the Legends in Concert website. Participants must dress up as the real life GRAMMY award-winning music icon, or one of their favorite characters she made famous such as Sandy from "Grease" or Kira from "Xanadu."
One "Hopelessly Devoted" fan will be selected by the Aussie icon, winning a chance to perform at one of the Legends in Concert venues throughout the U.S. The lucky winner will be determined based on overall looks, mannerisms and vocal ability to match the star's likeness. A prestigious judging panel including Olivia will crown the very first Olivia Newton-John tribute artist.

Olivia Newton-John semble prendre un certain plaisir à jouer l'animatrice/programmatrice sur la radio australienne SMOOTHFM !
Dimanche dernier de 16 à 17h, et ce pour la deuxième fois on pouvait entendre sa jolie voix sur les ondes ... et comme elle adore l'idée de balancer des musiques et pouvoir parler aux gens .. il se pourrait qu'elle recommence cette expérience enrichissante !
Olivia : “I love the idea of doing a radio program and this is the second time I’ve done one for smoothfm. I love the idea of introducing songs and being able to talk to people – in fact, I’d like to do it more often! I’m very honoured and proud to be on smoothfm!”

GREASE envahissait les écrans anglais un 14 septembre 1978. La France avait ouvert le feu le 13 septembre.
La veille, Olivia Newton-John et John Travolta avaient été quelque peu bousculés lors de la première à Londres ! Choqué .. John Travolta avait quitté la salle pendant la diffusion du film.

“If you can’t be an athlete, be an athletic supporter,” says someone in Grease (Empire, A). It’s one of the few funny lines in this all-conquering movie but then, such is its lack of real panache, one is not quite sure whether it understands the double meaning. The Robert Stigwood film, already pre-sold to countless millions, is a grave disappointment to anyone in search of style or substance. But one thing this botched fifties pastiche does achieve is an increased affection for George Lucas’ American Graffiti.
Based on the pop musical which took Broadway by storm in 1972, which Time correctly described as “like an old yearbook in the carton of high school memorabilia we all keep stored somewhere in the back of our lives,” the film shrewdly but impertinently inserts a huge dose of seventies disco-music into the score and populates its high school with some of the oldest pupils one is ever likely to see this side of the Open University. Moreover, it is directed by 30-year-old Randal Kleiser who not only can’t possibly know what the fifties were about but is a graduate from television with only the remotest idea of how to handle a wide screen.
The consequences of this are profound, and even reflect on the performances of the two starry principals. John Travolta, whom God and Hollywood preserve in case the world takes suddenly against him, can display only half the animal energy he exhibited so sexily in Saturday Night Fever as dangerous Danny, the boy sweet little Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) wishes so much was just a regular guy. He poses like some forlorn young stud in a bedroom full of chastity belts.
As for Olivia, the Sandra Dee substitute for the seventies, she acts and sings prettily but her final metamorphosis as a leather-clad siren makes You’re the One That I Want sound like an invitation to a snogging session behind the Vicarage. And don’t ask me about the dancing or I’ll explode. The Busby Berkeley stylisations are grim enough, but the high school lawn-mowing has to be seen to be disbelieved.
Still, there are compensations - as indeed there must be to keep so many customers happy for so long. One of them is undoubtedly Eve Arden as Principal McGee (a real performance this) and the fleeting, not very meaty cameos accorded to other fifties stalwarts like Frankie Avalon, Sid Caesar and Edd Byrnes. Stockard Channing is fine too but about fifteen years too late for her part.
The rest is pure pap, admittedly enlivened by hit songs in the wrong style. Great fun no doubt if you don’t give a damn for the cinema but disappointingly full of holes if you do. The central theme, which is really Pat Boone and Sandra Dee versus Elvis Presley and the groupie syndrome, is certainly sketched out. But whoever held the pencil seems incapable of drawing a straight line through the dross.

John Travolta was last night besieged by fans when he arrived at Leicester Square, London, for the premiere of his latest film, Grease. Police had to force a path into the Empire Cinema.

Un Danny bienheureux
Tim Douwsma fait ses débuts dans la comédie musicale GREASE version hollandaise. Tim reprend le rôle de Danny Zuko.
Tim a posté sur Instagram un selfie dans lequel il tient une photo d'Olivia Newton-John dans sa main.
C'est tout naturellement que la Sandy du film lui a souhaité tous ses voeux de réussite.
Pour Tim, la première ne pouvait pas mieux commencer. "Whaaa! Olivia Newton-John est une fan! Merci !!" a t-il écrit.
