Olivia Newton-John joined about 10,000 participants in the 16th Annual Inland Empire Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure at the Promenade Mall in Temecula. The star is not only a breast cancer survivor herself but a prominent advocate for research to find a cure.
"This is wonderful way to celebrate survivorship and communicate with each other. I'm a 22 year thriver and I'm excited to be a part of this," Newton-John said.
The singer and actress starred in the movie "Grease" and is a four-time Grammy winner with hits including "I Honestly Love You" and "Physical." She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. She had a partial mastectomy and breast reconstruction and has been cancer-free since.
"I'm here. I'm grateful 22 years later there is hope and it's important to get involved with other women for support and to do things for yourself. Do one thing for yourself that makes you feel good," she said.
Newton-John was in town with her husband and daughter and her grand-dog, Jelly.

Dimanche, de bon matin, Olivia Newton-John a rejoint les 10 000 participants sur la promenade de Temecula pour la 16e édition de la marche Race for the Cure organisée par l'association Susan G. Komen qui lutte contre le cancer du sein.
Olivia Newton-John est non seulement une survivante d'un cancer du sein mais elle est devenue une défenderesse de premier plan pour la recherche.

Cela fait 22 ans que je me porte bien et je suis très heureuse de faire partie de cette marche. Je suis ici. Je suis reconnaissante 22 ans plus tard, il y a de l'espoir et il est important de s'impliquer avec d'autres femmes pour les aider et les soutenir et aussi faire des choses pour vous-même... effectuer une chose pour vous-même qui vous fait sentir bien".
Olivia Newton-John était venue avec son mari John Easterling et sa fille Chloe Lattanzi venue, elle, avec Jelly, sa petite chienne.
