The Rumour à donc 30 ans !! .. et même s'il n'a pas connu le succès qu'il méritait il demeure l'un des meilleurs albums d'ONJ
L'album comprend les singles "The Rumour", "Can't We Talk Over Bed" (plus tard reprit par Grayson Hugh ) et le single promo australien "It's Always Australia for me", qui a été publié en Australie pour le Bicentenaire en 1988. C'était aussi son premier album non produit par le producteur de longue date, John Farrar .

On Aug. 4 1958, Billboard launched the Hot 100, forever changing pop music -- or at least how it's measured. Sixty years later, the chart remains the gold-standard ranking of America's top songs each week. And while what goes into a hit has changed (bye, bye jukebox play; hello, streaming!), attaining a spot on the list -- or better yet, a coveted No. 1 -- is still the benchmark to which artists explore, from Ricky Nelson on the first to Drake on the latest. Which brings us to this hottest-of-the-hot list: the 100 most massive artists over the charts six decades.

Just five years after the hit film Grease was released and Olivia Newton-John became a household name – and right at the time she was about to open her own boutique, Koala Blue, in Los Angeles – the singer and actress appeared in the pages of Vogue Australia’s December 1983 issue, purveying party-ready outfits straight out of an 80s playbook. In a profile calling out Newton-John’s ‘new moves’ and ‘black magic’ allure, the accompanying shoot was packed with big hair, disco sequins, over-the-top eyeshadow, ruched mini-dresses, a mullet-esque ‘do and wrist cuffs. Dressed in Australian designers Mark & Geoffrey and Linda Jackson, both prominent names at the time, Newton-John almost looked the part of ‘rebel’ Sandy, if Sandy had swapped her leather trousers for a strapless party dress, that is.
