Australian celebrity Olivia Newton-John is using her fame for good. The actress and musician will be hosting a benefit for the Australian wild fires that will feature some big name artists. Performances by Queen + Adam Lambert, Michael Bublé, k.d. lang, 5 Seconds of Summer and more will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, with special coverage being aired on Saturday, Feb. 29.

The event will be called Fire Fight Australia, and FOX will be airing the special coverage. It will be held at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium, and the proceeds will be used to benefit “key organizations providing vital short, medium and long-term rescue, recover and rehabilitation assistance in Australia’s fire-affected areas,” a press release stated.

Specifically, proceeds will be directed to The Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), “an organization working on the ground with Australian rural communities affected by disaster, supporting them to rebuild.”

Newton-John has been an active voice in helping raise awareness and support for the fires in Australia, and even urged fans recently on Instagram to give what they can.

“People ask me ‘How can we help with the Australian bushfires?’ By buying this lovely t-shirt you will be helping my fellow Aussies and our unique wildlife who lost their homes and habitat,” she posted with a photo of herself rocking the cute T-shirt. “The OFFICIAL Fire Fight Australia t-shirt is available for pre-order now at www.firefightaustralia.com. 100% of proceeds from this limited edition t-shirt are going to national bushfire relief.”

Fire Fight Australia benefit concert will air on Feb. 29 on FOX at 11:00 PM-12:00 AM ET/PT.

Hound Dog est une chanson de Rock'n'Roll écrite par Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller, dont l'interprétation la plus célèbre reste celle d'Elvis Presley en 1956. 

On entendra le groupe Sha Na Na rebaptisé étrangement Johnny Casino & The Gamblers dans GREASE reprendre ce standard.

En 2003, elle a été classée 19e plus grande chanson de tous les temps par le magazine Rolling Stone.

Chloé Lattanzi, la fille d'Olivia Newton-John, va accoucher, enfin, d'un single officiel, après plusieurs années de promesses, d'hésitations, de doutes et d'atermoiements.
Le titre s'appelle "Wings and a Gun". Un titre très "Lattanzien" !

On y retrouve le son, l'atmosphére, de ses premiers titres, sombre, étrange, dans le style électro pop, une voix très travaillée par l'électronique...
Ces quarante premières secondes sont désormais en écoute sur sa page officiel sur Universal Japon mais pour l'apprécier encore mieux on vous en a fait un petit clip bien sur.

Ca donne envie d'entendre le morceau en entier et on espère que beaucoup auront la même envie.

Selon les dernières infos, le titre sera disponible en digital dès le 24 novembre.

Sera t'il à télécharger directement de la page Universal, ou d'une plateforme style i-tunes ou amazon ? à suivre...si l'on s'y connait en japonais car le site Universal pour l'instant n'a pas fait l'effort d'offrir au moins une page en anglais pour les étrangers. Peut-être le feront-ils lorsque le titre sera disponible.

Chloé en 2005, lors de la signature de son tout premier contrat avec la compagnie de disque australienne Festival Mushroom rachetée ensuite par Warner.

Et avec Olivia signataire également du contrat pour sa fille.

Elle quittera Warner quelques années plus tard d'un commun accord en raison comme on dit de "divergences artistiques", Chloé souhaitant avant tout chanter ses propres compositions...

Cinq ans plus tard, tout vient à point à qui sait attendre...

Et pour le plaisir, à réécouter et revoir la vidéo de son titre 'It's Magic", jamais sorti...à moins qu'on ne le retrouve sur un futur album.
