KELLY’S DEATH BRINGS HIM EVEN CLOSER TO ‘GREASE’ CO-STAR

HEARTBROKEN John Travolta has turned to old pal and brave cancer survivor Olivia Newton-John to see him through the loss of his beloved wife, Kelly Preston! That’s the word of sources who exclusively told The National ENQUIRER the tragedy has brought the “Grease” costars closer than ever! “Nobody knows John — or the pain he’s suffering — better than Olivia, and she’s given him the comfort he needs to survive this horrible loss!” an insider snitched.

Sources said the “Pulp Fiction” star, 66, was crushed by the death of his wife of 28 years from breast cancer at 57 on July 12 and he immediately reached out to Olivia, who has heroically battled the disease for nearly three decades.
The “Physical” singer is still fiercely fighting for her life following a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis two years ago after previously beating the condition in 1992 and 2013 — and the plucky songbird has stunned doctors by staving off an almost certain death sentence!

“John loves and admires Olivia for the way she’s battled this disease, and she’s given him the hope and encouragement he needs!” the source said. When Kelly was diagnosed, John didn’t hesitate to reach out to his friend of more than 40 years, tipsters tattled. The “Jerry Maguire” actress secretly fought the disease for two years, and insiders said Olivia provided hope for the couple.

“Both Kelly and John drew a lot of comfort from her support,” dished the source. But Olivia also knew heartache wasn’t the first time John was devastated by the disease.

His first love, Diana Hyland — his co-star in the 1976 TV movie “The Boy in the Plastic Bubble” — died in his arms from breast cancer at age 41 in 1977.

“John supported Olivia ever since she was first diagnosed — and those shared tragedies gave them a bond very few people can understand — let alone share,” the insider said. Olivia was also there for John and Kelly after the sudden death of their 16-yearold son, Jett, following a seizure in 2009. lowest point after that,” an insider spilled. “But like always, Olivia showed up and helped see them through a terrible tragedy. “By now, John counts on Olivia’s strength to pick him up when he’s down.”

Insiders said losing Kelly has been almost too much for him to endure, but Olivia has helped provide him with the strength to carry on for his surviving kids, Ella, 20, and Ben, 9.

“John is so grateful to have Olivia in his life,” the source said. “He can’t imagine what he’d do without her and has begged her to keep winning her own cancer battle — for both their sakes!”
