Back in time: Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta reunite to dress as lovebirds Sandy and Danny in Palm Beach, Florida.
MORE than four decades after bursting onto the big screen, Aussie sweetheart Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta still go together.

The Grease stars reunited in character yesterday for the first time since the film was made in 1978. Dressed as straight-laced Sandy Olsson and bad-boy Danny Zuko, the pair attended a Meet ‘N’ Grease singalong in West Palm Beach in Florida.

“First time in costume since we made the movie! So excited!!” Newton-John captioned an Instagram photo. Travolta added: “#Grease is still the word.”

The leather jacket she wore at the end of Grease is set to be put on permanent display at her namesake Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne.

The jacket was auctioned last month for charity with the anonymous buyer forking out about $354,000 before he gifted the jacket back to his idol.

“This jacket (pictured below) belongs to you and the collective soul of those who love you, those for whom you are the soundtrack of their lives.

“It should not sit in a billionaire’s closet for country club bragging rights,” the anonymous buyer said.

“For this reason I humbly and respectfully return it to its rightful owner, which is you.”

JOHN Travolta and Olivia Newton-John reunite 41 years after starring in Grease. They dressed up as movie lovebirds Danny and Sandy during a Meet n’ Grease sing-along event.

With John now 65 and Olivia 71, they must be the oldest graduates in Rydell High history. Olivia wrote: “First time in costume since we made the movie. So excited.”

The reunion, in West Palm Beach, Florida, came a month after Olivia auctioned her leather jacket for charity for £125,000.
