"Grease Lightning", actress who played Frenchie roll into Buffalo for "Grease Gala"

Buffalo, N.Y. (WIVB) - A classic movie car rolled into Western New York on Friday, November 9.
"Grease Lightning" from the 1977 film Grease cruised into the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center with one of the "Pink Ladies" inside.

It was all to recognize one of the original stars who is battling breast cancer.
The Roswell Park alliance foundation is honoring Olivia Newton-John with the "Gilda Radner Courage Award."

Didi Conn, who played Frenchy in Grease, is accepting the award on Newton-John's behalf.
"She's also very excited and knew about Roswell Park and felt very honored because she had met Gilda years ago, she did Saturday Night Live and she thought she was wonderful and hilarious and she feels really really privileged to be recognized this way," said Conn.

The theme for tomorrow night's "All Star Gala" is "Summer Nights - celebrating 40 years of Grease."
