ACTOR Kate Jenkinson, who stars in the upcoming Olivia biopic, says Delta Goodrem’s transformation to a movie and music icon was spooky.

Goodrem stars as Olivia Newton-John in Channel Seven’s two-part series with Jenkinson, who features in Foxtel’s Wentworth, playing ONJ’s best friend Pat Farrar. “It was such a nice antidote from prison,” Jenkinson (pictured) said. “I finished filming Wentworth one day, and was on the set of Grease the next. It was good medicine to wash away the grim reality of Wentworth and step into this magical musical world.”

She said Goodrem nailed the Newton-John role. “It was quite spooky the way she modulated her voice. It was quite creepy. At times, she really sounded like Sandy from Grease. And her vocal ability was spot on.”
