‘It’s not my job to be broken’: Olivia’s calmness in face of cancer

IT’S the calmness in Australia’s sweetheart Olivia Newton-John that has stuck with Karl Stefanovic for a week now.

Last Sunday, he sat down with Olivia to talk about the return of cancer, 25 years after she beat breast cancer.

A week on, as the 68-year-old bares her soul to a nation in an interview to air tonight on 60 Minutes, Stefanovic remains struck by the 68-year-old’s peace as she talk about its return.

“She is incredibly strong, but I was blown away by just how calm she is,” Stefanovic says.

“She’s always been a very calm woman but her presence, her spirit and quiet determination in getting through all of this is incredible......
