SHE IS DOING GREAT

OLIVIA Newton-John is tipped to make her first public appearance in Australia after she announced she is fighting cancer for the second time.

Newton-John has indicated on the invitations for her annual ONJ Gala fundraiser, at Crown on Friday, September 8 that she will attend the night — one of Melbourne’s top charity events.

Sources told Confidential that Newton-John will be in the country for the big night, and if she is well enough as she continues her treatment, she will attend.

The Aussie superstar has not missed the ONJ Gala for years, and has performed in the past with some of Australia’s highest profiles musicians and friends, including John Farnham, Barry Gibb, Jimmy Barnes and Jon Stevens.

The second half of the year is looking good for Newton-John; she also has some concert dates scheduled in the US on August 24, 25 and 27.

Her daughter Chloe Lattanzi revealed on social media this week that her mother is doing well as she continues treatment.

She’s doing great,” she said. “(She’s) at a healing centre with lots of wild kittens!’’

Newton-John’s last public statement was on June 7.

I am really grateful for and touched by the worldwide outpouring of love and concern,” she said.

I am feeling good and enjoying total support from my family and friends, along with a team of wellness and medical practitioners both here in the US and at my Olivia Newton-John
Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia.”

The gala is a fundraiser for her Centre, located on the Austin Hospital site in Heidelberg.
