The icon leads the list at last, with Dave Aude & her daughter.

A legend logs a landmark leader, as Olivia Newton-John earns her first No. 1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated Nov. 21), as featured on Dave Aude's "You Have to Believe" (2-1). The track is a reinterpretation of Newton-John's 1980 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 "Magic," from the film Xanadu, in which Newton-John starred. A collaborative effort with her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, "Believe" is DJ/producer Aude's 12th chart-topper. For Lattanzi, she reigns in her first visit to any Billboard chart.

Newton-John tells Billboard, "It was actually Chloe's idea to rework 'Magic' and I was thrilled, as she is not only a great singer but a talented writer. It was a great collaboration across the board! And, a fun fact is that I met Chloe's dad on the set of Xanadu, so, without that film, Chloe wouldn't be here. She was the real 'magic' that came out of that film!"

Daughter Lattanzi adds, "I've always loved 'Magic.' It's probably my favorite song of my mom's, so it seemed like the natural choice. With Dave and another great Australian singer/songwriter, Vassy, we came up with new verses."

"Believe" marks the fifth Dance Club Songs appearance for Newton-John, who last hit the chart 23 years ago with "I Need Love" (No. 44, 1992). While the original "Magic" never reached the tally, Newton-John's "Physical," which spent 10 weeks atop the Hot 100 in 1981-82 and which places at No. 8 on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs ranking, peaked at No. 22 on Dance Club Songs. Until "Believe," Newton-John charted as high as No. 17 (in 1988) on Dance Club Songs with "The Rumour" (which was co-written and produced by Elton John).

Remixes from Ivan Gomez & Nacho Chapado, Bojan, Chris Sammarco and more also helped boost the trio to the top.
