The legendary singer songwriter's recording career is being celebrated on a new box set called "All Of My Memories: The John Denver Collection." Besides his classic gems, the new Deluxe 90-song, 4-CD box captures the Denver singing with the Mitchell Trio, Olivia Newton-John, Sylvie Vartan, Placido Domingo, Emmylou Harris, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the Muppets.
"All Of My Memories: The John Denver Collection" is the first comprehensive multi-label overview to span Denver's career from 1964 to 1997.
The collection includes six previously unreleased tracks as well as demos, promo rarities, live performances, limited edition and private pressings. The box set will be available on Nov. 4, 2014, through RCA/Legacy, a division of Sony Music Entertainment.

John Denver is recognized as one of the most celebrated entertainers of the 1970s. Denver rose from folk singer to multi-platinum selling recording artist and producer.
He won two Grammy Awards and hosted the Grammy Awards broadcast five times. He was also a movie actor, television personality, philanthropist, environmental and human rights activist.
Denver has sold more than 33 million records so far, including eight Billboard Top 10 RCA Albums in the U.S., three of them went to number one.
Denver has had seven RIAA multi-platinum, thirteen platinum and 20 gold album certifications. He charted more than 40 Billboard Hot 100, AC and Country songs from 1971 to 1988. His #1 hits from 1974-'76 included "Sunshine On My Shoulders," "Annie's Song," "Back Home Again," "Sweet Surrender," the live version of "Thank God I'm A Country Boy," "Calypso," which was about Jacques Cousteau and named after the oceanographer's boat, "Fly Away" featuring Olivia Newton-John, "Looking For Space," and "Like A Sad Song."

Défiant toutes les étiquettes conventionnelles, John Denver a tenu un rôle singulier dans la musique américaine. Il fut un compositeur dont le travail immensément populaire s'est répandu avec une parenté profonde et en lien avec les gens.
Ses chansons sont restées populaires dans le monde. Elles sont surtout caractérisées par leurs mélodies douces, une guitare élégante et son interprétation soul du lyrique.
Une de ses chansons les plus connues "Take me home, Country roads" enregistrée en 1971 sera reprise et immortalisée par Olivia Newton-John en Angleterre. En France cette chansons sera reprise d'abord par Marie Laforêt sous le titre « Mon pays est ici » puis par Claude François sous le titre « J'ai encore ma maison », et encore quelques années plus tard par Dick Rivers sous le titre « Faire un pont ».
Aux USA Sony Legacy lui rendra un vibrant hommage à travers la sortie d'un nouveau coffret de 4 disques compacts intitulé ALL OF MY MEMORIES : The John Denver Collection.
Prévu pour le 4 novembre, le coffret contiendra tous ses principaux tubes mais aussi 6 chansons inédites, des versions démos, des chansons live, et quelques collaborations avec Olivia Newton-John, Placido Domingo, Emmylou Harris, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Les Muppets et Sylvie Vartan....
Le coffret de John Denver n'est pas encore annoncé en France.
Grâce aux Japonais, pour la sortie des disques d'Olivia en version SHM-CD en 2010, on découvrira qu'elle avait également repris une autre jolie chanson de John Denver "Looking For Space" !
La chanson restera longtemps secrètement préservée dans le "coffre-fort" de la star avant d'être rajoutée en bonus sur l'album Don't Stop Believin'.
