Les 15 titres de cette nouvelle compilation sont tirés des trois albums studio à succès d' Andy Gibb, Flowing Rivers , certifié platine en 1977, Shadow Dancing , certifié platine en 1978 , et After Dark, certifié en 1980.
Fort heureusement cette nouvelle compilation contient l'excellent duo I CAN'T HELP IT ..avec notre jolie tête blonde ! Duo extrait de l'album After Dark !
Et à mon humble avis cette pépite sonore reste l'un des meilleurs duos de la carrière d'Olivia Newton-John !
Andy Gibb était le petit frère des Bee Gees. Il signe en 1977 un contrat discographique avec Robert Stigwood pour le label britannique RSO Records, une division de Polydor Grande-Bretagne, où ses frères sont également sous contrat. Son premier numéro 1 américain (juillet 1977) I Just Want to Be Your Everything est écrit par son frère Barry Gibb.
En juin 1978, Andy devient le premier artiste à avoir trois numéros 1 consécutifs avec Shadow Dancing, coécrit par les quatre frères Gibb. Il aura d'autres succès surtout aux États-Unis entre septembre 1978 et juin 1981.
En panne d'inspiration en raison de son addiction à la cocaïne et à l'alcool, il traverse une longue période incertaine. Il se fait soigner en Californie en 1985, mais ses tentatives successives pour en finir avec son addiction se solderont par des échecs. Même l'actrice de la série DALLAS, Victoria Principal, dont il est très amoureux au début des années 1980, lui demandera de choisir entre elle et la drogue, en vain....
Après quelques complications il meurt à l'hôpital le 10 mars 1988, cinq jours après son 30e anniversaire.
