The pair, pictured here with Olivia and Chloe’s stepfather John Easterling, celebrated their engagement in 2010.
It’s been a tough year for Olivia Newton-john as she bravely battles her second breast cancer diagnosis. But the 69-year-old has something to smile about, with friends revealing to Woman’s Day her daughter Chloe Lattanzi has likely married in secret.
The 31-year-old updated her Instagram bio to say she’s the “wife of James Driskill” and has started referring to him as her “husband”. And sources say Olivia couldn’t be happier her daughter has such a wonderful man in her life.
“There’s a lot of talk among their inner circle that Chloe and James have already tied the knot. They’ve been as good as married for years, and he’s very much a part of the family,” one insider reveals, adding their marriage would be the greatest gift Chloe could give her mum.
“It’s been a dark year, but they’ve become a lot closer. To see her daughter doing so well after the problems she’s had in the past is a dream come true for Olivia. She adores James and definitely sees him as her son.”

THROUGH THICK & THIN
Chloe credits James for supporting her through her darkest moments and helped her overcome anorexia. “My fiance had a lot to do with helping
me get through it,” she said of her illness in 2015.
And James, 33, regularly gushes about Chloe on social media, calling her “my beauty” and declaring she’s “the sexiest, most amazing woman in the world”.
As Woman’s Day previously revealed, the couple are thought to have started IVF treatments in a bid to give Olivia grandchildren. But close friends say they wanted to make things official before welcoming a baby.
“They’ve talked about starting a family for a long time, but they always planned to get married first,” says the insider. “Olivia’s diagnosis made Chloe realise life is short, and she and James are fully committed to each other.”
According to another friend, they’ve been really relaxed about getting married the past few years because it’s always been about the actual marriage rather than the wedding for them.
“But now the timing is right, and not one of their friends would be surprised if they eloped,” the source says.

TOURING AGAIN
In more happy news for Olivia, she’s also well enough to take the stage after cancelling shows earlier this year. She was at her performing best once more for several concerts this month.
The singer has been combining radiation treatment with cannabis to treat her “crippling pain”, which took hold when the disease metastasised to her lower back in May.
Last week Olivia revealed, “[I’m] no longer in pain and I’m happy to say I’m working again.”
But she says it was unnerving returning to her tour. “When I get to sing the songs I love, it’s like a gift. Being on the road with my band has been healing. Of course, it’s scary. But the words that came to my mind were, ‘This too shall pass.’ I just had to believe I was going to be OK.”
Sources close to the star – who beat breast cancer 25 years ago – say her second diagnosis “knocked her for six”, but now Olivia and her daughter are “closer than ever”.
“Chloe and her mum had a rocky relationship through her 20s, but that’s all behind them. Chloe spends more time visiting her mum in California than she does at home in Oregon these days,” reveals the insider.
And Olivia’s only daughter is determined to be by her mother’s side every step of the way. “Having Chloe around and seeing how happy she is keeps Olivia strong and upbeat.”
